CCRN OAU ALUMNI ADVENT REFLECTIONS – Day 3 (2nd December 2025)
1st Rdn: Isaiah 11:1-10
Ps 72:1-2.7-8.12-13.17(R.7)
Gos: Luke 10:21-24
“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6
The verse above may seem like something that came from a comic book or a cartoon. But alas, it is the very promise of God encoded in scriptures. God promises that a time will come when evil shall be no more. Take a moment to imagine that. No more death, no more sorrow, no more pain, no more fear, and the list goes on and on.

This mystery can only be realised in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Looking back in the past centuries, we see a gradual culmination of events that will usher in the reign of God’s kingdom on earth. We are now seeing the knowledge of Christ spreading like wildfire all over the earth. This is a fulfilment of prophecy which says that ‘the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas’. So shall it be in these last days.
As we have entered this joyful season of Advent, let us be hopeful and rejoice for our salvation draweth near. We can confidently begin to anticipate glorious things this season because the Lord has promised us his peace and blessings. Let us trust in His goodness and know that His goodness will definitely prevail in our lives in this season.
Welcome to the season of Joy!
