The office of the president is beyond presiding over meetings. The office is central to the vision and objectives of the alumni body. The president provides leadership, direction, and support to the executive council and the entire alumni body. He also acts as a liaison between the excos, the trustees, spiritual director, and past leaders of the association.

- Champions initiatives that promote spiritual growth, fellowship, and service among members.
- Works with the executive council to implement strategies that align with the association’s long-term objectives.
Bede Akorah is a dedicated and visionary leader serving as the President of the CCRN OAU Alumni. A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Bede has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to faith, service, and community building.
During his time at OAU, Bede was an active member of the Evangelical and Teaching Ministry, where he contributed to the spiritual growth of students and fostered a culture of faith and fellowship. His leadership skills were further honed when he served as the President of the Nigerian Federation of Catholic Students (NFCS), a role in which he championed initiatives that strengthened the faith and unity of Catholic students on campus.
As President of the CCRN OAU Alumni, Bede brings his passion for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and his experience in leadership to guide the association toward its mission of spiritual growth, fellowship, and service. He is committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive community where alumni can reconnect, deepen their faith, and support one another in their spiritual journeys.
Bede’s leadership is characterized by his humility, dedication, and unwavering faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. He continues to inspire members of the CCRN OAU Alumni to live out their faith with purpose and passion.
