Dearly beloved brethren, as we enter into the final stretch of the teachings, we pray that God grants us perfect understanding as all parts are connected into a single whole.
This summary takes account of all the parables Jesus taught on *stewardship* which is essential for us to note.
1. The Master has servants,
2. He gave them duties,
3. He expects to find them busy about it when He returns.
4. He expects them to be awaiting His return consciously .
The Parable of 10 Talents, 10 Virgins, Coming like a _Thief in the Night_ all give us this idea.
How do we go then go the extra mile and get the extra talent/oil that the Master requires of us?
How do we ensure we are agile and awake when He returns?
The Lord showed me a mystery here. He said to me, _”How did the Widow of Zarephath have a Jar of Oil and barrel of wheat that did not run dry for three and half years?”_. I said, “She gave her *last* to the Prophet.”
Then it dawned on me.
What are we giving to the Lord, His servants and His work of ministry that we are in?
Are we willing to give our last, our all, that would put us at the risk of hunger, starvation, deprivation and even death?
It is when we do this by faith, that God multiplies His grace over us.
To be very clear, the Lord helped me to see that the oil in particular was a reference to the *eyes*.
The Bible speaks many times of _lamps_ as eyes, also talks purchasing of ointment for eyes that we may see.
Have we given our eyes to the Lord? That is first of all, your sleep.
If the Master mustn’t find us sleeping, then we must give our sleep to the Lord.
We must give the Holy Spirit liberty to wake us up to pray as He pleases.
We must also keep our spirits alive and awake that even while sleeping, we are communicating and receiving divine counsel in our sleep.
Whatever we sow, we would reap in a supernatural measure. This is certain.
Secondly we must give our visions to the Lord. That is, we must consecrate our eyes unto things that are holy and not to lustful and vain images. Our eyes must be _single_, that is, focused on one thing only. This is the only way to stay in the calling of God. If your eyes are unstable and you look sideways or backwards, you are not going to keep yourself fit for the kingdom.
How much oil do you need now? An infinite supply definitely to survive these last days.
May God richly increase us. Amen
Prayer Point
1. Lord, let little sleep and little slumbers not rob me of my purpose
2. Lord, consecrate my whole sight unto thyself
3. Lord, make my spirit awake to receive from you both by day and by night.
