History

To build a thriving community of faith where alumni can grow spiritually, support one another, and continue the mission of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Network (CCRN) OAU Alumni was born out of a divine inspiration from the Holy Spirit. It began with a small group of dedicated members who gathered in prayer, seeking spiritual growth and fellowship. Their shared desire to deepen their faith and maintain the bonds formed during their time at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) led to the formation of this vibrant alumni community.

In 2017, the group held its first reunion, a momentous occasion marked by spiritual awakening, heartfelt worship, and an outpouring of love. This gathering was hosted at the Our Lady of Perpetual Light Chapel on the OAU campus, a sacred space that holds special significance for many members. The reunion was a powerful reminder of the enduring impact of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal on their lives.

As the community grew, so did the vision for its future. To accommodate the increasing number of participants and to foster a more inclusive environment, subsequent reunions were moved to the Pastoral Center in Ede, Osun State. This new location provided a serene and spacious setting for members to come together in prayer, worship, and fellowship.

Today, the CCRN OAU Alumni continues to thrive as a beacon of faith, unity, and love. Our members remain committed to the mission of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, spreading the fire of the Holy Spirit and supporting one another in their spiritual journeys. We are a testament to the power of prayer, the strength of community, and the transformative love of Christ.
