Advent Reflections – Day 21 (20th December 2025)

First reading: Isaiah 7:10-14
Psalm 24:1-2, 3-4ab, 5-6 (R.7c, 10b)
Gospel: Luke 1:26-38

In our lives, we often face situations that feel beyond our control, illness, loss, uncertainties, and dreams that seem out of reach. Like Ahaz, Mary, and the people of Israel, we are called to trust in God’s divine plan, even when it defies human logic. The prophecies and announcements of God’s extraordinary promises remind us that nothing is impossible for Him. When circumstances appear bleak, God may be preparing a miracle in ways we do not expect, just as He did with the virgin conception and the Annunciation. Our role is to trust, to believe in His promises, and to say “yes” like Mary did.

Faith opens the door for God’s miraculous work, transforming impossibilities into opportunities for His glory. Let us hold onto hope and remain steadfast in prayer, knowing that God’s plans are always perfect and His timing is always right. Trusting in God’s power can bring peace amid chaos, hope amid despair, and new life from seemingly dead ends. With open hearts, let us surrender our doubts and fears, and embrace the assurance that with God, all things are possible.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help us to trust in Your promises and believe in Your power to bring new life and hope. Strengthen our faith when we face impossible situations, and guide us to say “yes” to Your divine plan. May we always remember that with You, nothing is impossible. Amen.
