Topic: TALENTS: Tools or Toys

The
progressive revelations of the daily teachings brings us closer to what
God intended for us when this theme taken up by the hand of God.

One major question unasked is the nature and composition of the talents.

Given as it is a parable and the second mention of this particular parable, we need to examine them in depth.

The first parable says that the Master gave the servants *different* measures of talents.

While,  this parable speaks of *equal measures* given.

This is _extremely crucial_ to note.

*Ten* servants*Ten* talents_*One*_ a piece…

Each talent represents the *Gift of the Spirit* (Person) and also the _gifts of the Spirit_(Tools).

Remember the Master had to go to a faraway countryAnd Jesus had to go to heaven…With the hope of His return…

 The mandate of the Apostles from the Book of Acts was to _occupy_ the earth with the gospel by the same *Spirit*.

So
if the talent is the Spirit, can you make out ten more of the same?
That is, can only you *single handedly* get _ten people_ filled with the
same Holy Ghost you received?

This brings us into recall of our
short while as LIS facilitators. *Let us measure* what each and everyone
of us has done in the past and reflect on the impact we had on the
lives we discipled.

*Did you put the Lord in them?*

Will He be proud of you when He returns?

Do
you have anyone to show off to Him? That you *laboured* over and were
_occupied_ with their growth and profit in Kingdom matters?

If you were sent to a territory without other Christians or charismatic fellowship can you reproduce what you received?

 This is the big question you must ask yourself and seek strength for.

*Prayer point*Make me grow to the point of being a faithful disciple trainer O Lord.Let me leave a clear example for others to faithfully grow into and become mature.
