Topic: *MERCY*

One man said, “where faith may fail, the mercy of God will never fail.” The righteous need the mercy of God more than the sinner. To think that the mercy of God is only associated with sin is myopic.

Mercy is that nature of God that always compels Him to do good. When we receive mercy from God, we not only receive absolution for sin, but much more we obtain the grace that is needed to sustain us in holiness and power.

Hebrews 4:16 states clearly our need to approach the throne of grace so as to obtain or receive MERCY. It is only when we receive mercy that we can become merciful like our Father in heaven.

Beloved, the cherubims are called the merciful ones because they minister the mercy of God to his saints. We must arise to that stature where we are able to minister the mercy of God to the brethren. For God makes His angels spirit and His ministers as flames of fire. Psalm 104:4. The mercy of God is salvation to the soul of the just.
